Hosted a nationally broadcast event uniting South Africans through music, storytelling, and the spirit of ubuntu.
In a time when South Africa needed healing and hope, Kings Park Stadium in Durban became the stage for a powerful national event focused on unity, resilience, and the spirit of ubuntu.
The programme featured iconic South African voices—Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Gcina Mhlope, Freshlyground, and other influential artists and leaders—sharing messages of hope and inspiration.
As MC, I opened and closed the event, welcomed each performer, and carried the emotional thread of the day—setting the tone and building energy between each moment.
The event was broadcast live on SABC and covered by major media, reaching citizens across the country.
It was more than a performance. It was a call to believe again—in each other, and in the South Africa we’re capable of becoming.
"Julia was the heartbeat of our Awesome SA event. Her energy, enthusiasm, and can-do attitude were absolutely infectious. She carried the crowd, honoured each performer, and brought a vibrancy to the day that elevated every moment. Nothing was too much for her—she showed up with heart, grit, and grace, and helped create something truly unforgettable."
